NorthLux™ T8 LED tube lights fit inside 4-ft fluorescent lamp fixtures, making installation quick and easy. The lamps' built-in TriplePlay™ technology automatically detects and adjusts to the fixture's wiring configuration, allowing it to be used with* or without the fluorescent ballast, as well as single or double-ended direct-wire connections.

*WARNING: This LED tube light must not be used with any fluorescent ballasts that are not listed on our approved ballast list. Do not install the LED lamp in a fixture with a fluorescent ballast that is not included in the approved ballast list as this can pose a fire and shock risk.

The NorthLux™ T8 LED tube is designed to directly replace 4-ft T8 fluorescent lamps (F32T8), and can be directly installed into existing 4-ft fluorescent fixtures.* ReadyWire™ technology allows the LED lamp to automatically adjust to your fixture's wiring configuration. This includes fixtures configured with or without the fluorescent ballast, and whether or not it is single or double-ended.

The best way to determine if these lamps will fit and operate in your current fixture is to confirm the specifications of the fluorescent lamp that is currently installed in your fixture.

First, determine the length of the fluorescent lamp that is currently installed. If it is 4-ft (48") in length and has a 1 inch diameter, you have a T8 4-ft fluorescent lamp, which means that this LED lamp will physically fit in the fixture. You can also look for a model number or designator on the fluorescent tube: if the code F32T8 is printed on the lamp, this likely indicates that this LED lamp has the right dimensions for the fixture.

Next, locate the fluorescent ballast located inside the fixture and identify the manufacturer and model number. Check to see if the fluorescent ballast is listed on our approved ballast list.* If it is listed, you can simply swap out the fluorescent lamp with our T8 LED tube. For most customers this approach provides the easiest method of installation. If not listed, you must rewire the fixture to bypass or remove the ballast. For further information and instructions on rewiring for ballast bypass, please refer to our install guide / user manual.

If the fixture has already been rewired to bypass the ballast or it does not contain a ballast, this LED lamp can also be directly installed.
