I live in a condo in Toronto and decided to get the 6500K T8 lightbulbs from Waveform Lighting after a lot of research related to full spectrum light, colour accuracy, and flickering. These were the best lights I found and at a reasonable price.
And the light in my kitchen is incredible, no shadows, and it helps greatly with SAD for our darker and colder winters (though you may want something at a lower colour temperature).
Now that I’ve moved, I’ve decided to get more lights from Waveform; this time more old school Edison bulbs where you can see the filament (though still LED) that are dimmable and also going with a lower colour temp to match with my adjacent livingroom.
We setup a new video studio and these are perfect to light our background. Will order more!
Great color balance, but 4000k is really too cold for the kitchen. Wish they had 3000K.
I’ve replaced a variety of high-end 3000k and 4000k bulbs and just recently replaced the tubes in my kitchen light.
These were already High CRI leds, but the waveform replacements are a major MAJOR upgrade. No flicker, excellent color... highly recommended.
Got 4 of these to replace existing flouro tubes. If you look at a red object in these lights, then walk over under one of the old lights, the difference is pretty clear. Planning to replace the 20 bulbs now.
This is really something you should try to install in your building! It has such a wonderful quality of light.
This is something you will not regret. I love the flicker-free and high color quality!
The quality of light from these is fantastic, the power savings are obvious, and the fact that they're compatible with up to 277 volts and can work with or without a ballast makes these ideal for my office. Of the 36 tubes I've installed so far, all work perfectly.
The colors are greatly improved over the fluorescent lights that they replaced. The reds have a warm natural look that was missing before.
Gone are the days when tube fixtures were confined to the sickly, institutional-grade illumination of fluorescent tubes. Install these Centric Daylight tubes and you'll see daylight indoors.
