  • Product Overview

Waveform Lighting's CENTRIC™ line of LED bulbs provides lighting that centers around you. CENTRIC HOME™ LED bulbs provides flicker-free light output with a full spectrum color that is warm and relaxing - perfect for home and residential applications.

Flicker-free light output means that the rays of light emitted by the bulb are constant and uninterrupted, so you can rest assured knowing that the negative health effects such as headaches, fatigue and eye strain - previously associated with artificial lighting such as fluorescent lights and early LED bulbs - are eliminated.

With a 2700K/3000K 95 CRI rating and a high R9 of 80+, the light spectrum emitted by CENTRIC HOME™ bulbs is a full and complete spectrum without the bright, bluish hues commonly associated with energy efficient bulbs.

  • Installation

This product is a standard A19 LED screw-in lamp designed to work in virtually all lamp fixtures, including those designed for traditional incandescent or CFL lamps.

The lamp has an industry-standard E26 base, which is the ubiquitous, approximately 1-inch wide, screw-base.

The lamp emits the equivalent brightness of a 60 watt incandescent bulb, but only consumes 10 watts. You may find that your lamp fixture has a warning regarding the maximum wattage permitted per socket. Use the 10 watt value, and not the 60 watt equivalency value, in confirming compatibility.

Warm & Relaxing

Our CENTRIC HOME™ bulbs are offered in 2700K and 3000K color temperature options. Both options provide a warm and relaxing environment, perfect for home and hospitality applications.

2700K light is very similar to the warm glow emitted by a traditional incandescent light bulb. 3000K, on the other hand, still provides a relaxing and warm environment, but is slightly less yellow, which may be preferred for locations that are more task-oriented, such as reading and dining. Learn more here.

Both color temperature options feature 95 CRI, which ensures that the light spectrum is a near-perfect replication of traditional incandescent and halogen bulbs.

Flicker-Free & Healthy

Some LED lights will produce rapid flicker or pulses that aren't immediately visible to the naked eye, which can cause headaches, nausea and eye strain. Our CENTRIC SERIES™ products include additional electrical circuitry to achieve a truly flicker-free light output that produces a comfortable and stable light level. Learn more about flicker here, or watch our video demonstration below.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    • What is the difference between 2700K and 3000K?

These color temperature options correspond to the various shades of natural light. 2700K is a light color that best approximates the warm glow of traditional incandescent bulbs, while 3000K provides a bit more of a crisp and brighter white.

The choice between these colors is completely up to you! There is no correct answer, and this is a question of preference.

Regardless of your choice, both color options feature 95 CRI and flicker-free light output, which will provide you with a healthy and relaxing environment.

Below is an article that go into further detail:

      Choosing Between 2700K and 3000K

Still not sure? Take advantage of our 30 day free-returns policy to try out the different colors. If you don't like it, simply let us know and we'll send over a return label.

    • Should I get daylight white (4000K - 6500K) bulbs instead?

The most popular color temperature option for home and residential use is either 2700K or 3000K, commonly labeled warm white. These are the color temperatures that match the warm and inviting glow of traditional incandescent bulbs.

Some people prefer daylight or neutral white color temperatures as they offer a more balanced spectrum that eliminates the orange and yellow tint seen in warm white color temperature bulbs.

If you're looking for a bulb that produces a crisp, energizing white light, we would recommend our CENTRIC DAYLIGHT™ product line, which offers the same 95 CRI and flicker-free performance but with daylight white color temperatures.

    • Do these bulbs emit blue light?

As with virtually all light sources, the CENTRIC HOME™ LED bulbs do emit some blue light.

You may have read or heard about the concerns regarding the blue light hazard. Excessive blue light exposure during evening hours is certainly a concern, but blue light is an essential and important part of our daily lives, as it is extremely abundant in natural daylight (the blue sky!) and an important signal to our bodies and circadian rhythms.

The CENTRIC HOME™ bulbs have a M/P ratio of approximately 0.5, which is inline with traditional incandescent and halogen bulbs.

It is also important to keep in mind that time of day, exposure time and distance away from the bulbs also have a significant influence on whether or not the blue light wavelengths will impact your circadian cycle.

    • How many bulbs should I install in my space?

We generally recommend using one bulb for every 40 square feet of space. Simply divide the square footage of your space by 40 to get the number of bulbs needed. For example, a 160 square foot area would require 160 divided by 40, or 4 bulbs.

    • Are these bulbs dimmable?

Unfortunately, these bulbs are not dimmable. This means that they cannot be used on any electrical circuit which has a dimmer installed, even if you keep the dimmer at the maximum setting at all times.

    • Do these bulbs emit any UV radiation?

These bulbs do not emit any ultraviolet radiation. The light output covers the entire visible spectrum between 420 nanometers and 800 nanometers, but does not go below (UV-A) or above (infrared).

    • What kind of lamp fixture can this product be used in?

These A19 bulbs have a standard screw-in base (E26 / E27), which is the same type that has been used for more than a century.

As long as the lamp fixture is designated for an A type or A19 type, these bulbs will be compatible.

Although these lamps have the brightness of 60 watt incandescent lamps, these lamps have an actual power draw of only 10 watts. Therefore, they can safely be used in fixtures that have a max rating of less than 60 watts.

    • What is the voltage range of these lamps? Can they be used overseas?

The voltage range of this product is AC 90-240V and 50-60 Hz, which covers all global voltages. As such, they can safely be used internationally without any issues. The internal circuitry adjusts for the input voltage automatically, and does not affect the light output or performance of the lamp.

No flicker!

My old generic bulbs flickered when recorded under slow motion.
Waveform's don't flicker at all.

Great bulbs

We've been using these bulbs for months, and they're great. They produce lovely light and have been working flawlessly since we installed them---no flickering, full brightness, etc. Highly recommended.

Best high CRI bulbs yet

I’ve bought the highest CRI bulbs I could find over the past 7-8 years. All 90+ CRI.
These Waveform 3K 10Ws are the best of them. I’ve done extensive A/B testing in multi-bulb fixtures unscrewing one of these bulbs with competitor’s bulbs right next to it and vice versa. The color spectrum is absolutely better with these. Not all 90+ CRI bulbs are the same - not even close. I’ll be ordering a lot more. Hoping for maybe an 7W-8W offering and dimmable options in the future. A super bright 200W equivalent would be nice too, although I know getting really high CRI gets tougher to reproduce as the brightness increases.

Love our new lights!

After reading through all the detailed information on the website on CRI, I NOW understand why the color always seemed off when I bought bulbs from the big box stores! Most of the standard bulbs have a CRI of 80 and no information on the R9 value, which is likely very low. The waveform lighting is so much more flattering for skin tone! We've ultimately gone with a mix and match of 2700K and 3000K centric bulbs to get the coloring we like.

Excellent 60W bulbs, but the 100W flicker.

As measured on the OPPLE meter, the 100W bulbs have a lot of flicker. However Waveform's 60 watt bulbs are fantastic and have virtually no flicker and high quality light. The first LED's we can tolerate!

Thank you.

Works Great with HD Cameras

I use a webcam that shoots in 1080p to do zoom meetings. With cheaper LED lights, the camera would pick up flicker and produce a strobing effect in the video being streamed. Based on the many positive reviews, I decided to give the Centric Home Bulbs a try because even if they didn't work with my camera, I knew they would still look good around the house. They work great! There is no flicker in real life or on camera! The 3000K light works well in my home office.

Daughter in law happy

My daughter in law HATES led lights. After poo pooing her I did some reading, and decided it might be the fact that she can perceive flicker that most cant. I bought an assortment of 4 of your bulbs… first one was nice but way too cool (yellow). Second one she is happy with. CENTRIC HOME™ A19 LED Bulb 95 CRI/ 2700K.
We just ordered an assortment of 3 of your BR30 lamps. Perhaps you should consider a package for people like her, you know a sampler set of non-new bulbs for the person to try… then they return the set and you ship them that number of bulbs with the specs that they liked.

Wish more companies offered 3000K high CRI

Outstanding bulb, 3000K is much better than 5000K daylight for my office. Really there doesn't seem to be any competition for Waveform in this space.

Beautiful!

We have dark, muted blue walls in our bedroom: they look almost gray in shadow but aquamarine in sunlight. The first time I replaced an incandescent bulb with an LED, I was so disappointed because the walls looked flat and dull at night. But the Centro 3000K brings out that same vivid color as sunlight. I love it! I will eagerly be trying more products from Waveform Lighting :-)
