Product Overview

Waveform Lighting's CENTRIC™ line of LED bulbs provides lighting that centers around you. CENTRIC HOME™ LED bulbs provides flicker-free light output with a full spectrum color that is warm and relaxing - perfect for home and residential applications.

Flicker-free light output means that the rays of light emitted by the bulb are constant and uninterrupted, so you can rest assured knowing that the negative health effects such as headaches, fatigue and eye strain - previously associated with artificial lighting such as fluorescent lights and early LED bulbs - are eliminated.

With a 2700K/3000K 95 CRI rating and a high R9 of 75+, the light spectrum emitted by CENTRIC HOME™ bulbs is a full and complete spectrum without the bright, bluish hues commonly associated with energy efficient bulbs.

The difference is dramatic.

Like most people, I've long since made the switch to LED, but something always bothered me about the light. My migraines had gotten worse, and my eyes were always tired at home. It wasn't until I shot a slo-mo video in my house that I figured out the issue: my LED bulbs were basically little strobe lights, turning off and on 120 times per second.

I ordered some Waveform flicker-free bulbs, skeptical, but ready to try anything. From the second I turned them on it was astonishing. The light was stable, for lack of a better word. That flicker that I had been seeing was gone, and it felt like natural sunlight in the room. Headaches have reduced, eyestrain has reduced, and even people who were skeptical that LED flicker was even a real thing can tell the difference immediately.

My only hope is that dimmable and smart-bulb options come along soon. Everyone needs to see what they're missing and try one of these bulbs. There's no going back to off-the-shelf LED after this.

LED lights that are good for your health

Flicker free full spectrum lights are the only LED lights that do not negatively impact your health. Many LED lights produce high levels of blue light that causes your mitochondria to not function properly. LED lights that flicker also have a negative impact on your body's mitochondria. I was very glad to find a source for bulbs that do not impact your health.

Excellent flicker-free colour perfection!

There are not many flicker free LED products available that offer high (90+) CRI in a bulb. You can definitely tell the colours are much richer compared to the standard 80 CRI. I get eyestrain and headaches with PWM, and this stops it completely!

I am very happy to have found these E27 2700K 95 CRI bulbs that are also advertised as flicker free given this combination is quite rare. I wish it was brighter, but using two or more of these bulbs make it bright enough for many living areas.

A few wishes:
(1) Offer the same flicker-free bulbs in 2700K and 95+ CRI with a higher 1400+ lumen output (also offer lower wattage options if possible, also flicker-free).

(2) Improve the heat-sinking to the bulb and allow it to run in an enclosed space.

(3) Offer a bayonet mount option in addition to Edison Screw (ES). B22 for 220-240V countries.

If you can make these happen, then I would be very happy to replace the entire house.

Consistent performance

All the bulbs gives a consistent level of light output and have no delay when switching them on (some LED bulbs have a delay).

Excellent For Residential Use!

I have the 3000K version and they are pretty "residential friendly" in their color temp. Really like that they are flicker-free...saves my sanity a bit. Even at 3000K they are just maybe still a tad yellow for my taste, but the 4000K were too blue...I'm supposing I might actually prefer a 3500K bulb but, until Waveform actually decides to make them, the 3000K may be the best for my general purposes with home lighting.

Awesome non-flickering bulb!

I was looking for a good non-flickering LED build for a long time and this is it! I've tested it with 240fps video recording and compared with IKEA LED bulbs. Works as advertised!

Finally! A true replacement for tungsten

This updated, 2019 flicker-free version of Waveform's A19 bulb is the first LED bulb I could ever find to fulfill all the promises of a true replacement for tungsten:

• High CRI
• Actual warm color (2700K = regular, 3000K = "daylight" still nice and warm)
• No flicker whatsoever
• Truly as bright as claimed
• Completely quiet

Other bulbs I tried failed on at least one of those 5 points. Most have an unnatural color or aren't very bright. ALL flicker horribly, which gives me headaches instantly. Some, including Waveform's previous-generation A19s, make a slight "hissing" noise which is unsuitable for a bedroom or quiet home office.

Brand new, these bulbs are also a bit brighter than typical 60W tungstens, and this is actually good planning on Waveform's part: LEDs naturally lose brightness over the years and they want these to last a long time. They should drop from 800 Lumens to a still respectable 560 Lumens after 25,000 hours, according to the "L70" spec. Even for my home office used 7 days a week, this means I should expect at least 7 years out of them.

Given that Waveform's 6-pack is priced competitively (cheaper than tungsten if you factor in their longevity!), I am now recommending them to everyone I know as a better energy saving bulb than anything in local stores.
