The best lamps that I have found so far to replace all of our BR30. The 3000 kelvin was voted the best temperature for our kitchen by the family. We are also looking at Northlux 5000 for the art studio, and I would use LED tubes for our office light tables, if they were dimmable.
We have six of these in can in our kitchen. He has six halogen bulbs before because we like the warms colors but were dreading the high consumption of electricity. These are almost a perfect replacement for halogen. We wish they were just a tad bit warmer but we are still quite happy with them. Almost our whole house now uses waveform bulbs!
I replaced the builder installed 2700k with the 3000k LED and what a difference! Love these!
The color rendition is excellent. Although it is a "60W" equivalent it appears brighter (like 75W), possibly because it is semi-frosted so the light is more diffused.
Seems like there are more bulb options than ever and most arent great. These have the right specs, work in standard fixtures, and seem consistent and reliable.
There are few companies that supply true high quality LED lighting. These are great bulbs. I got the 3000K and they seem a bit yellow. I planned to place them in my kitchen where i recently installed 3000K under cabinet LED strips from Waveform. I expected since both products say 95 CRI and 3000K the BR30 would match the strips. They do not... not sure which is actually 3000K but I like the color of the strips better. They will work good and if i didn't have the strips in the same area I'm not sure I would notice the difference. It would be really great if Waveform could match the color across product lines better. Non the less they are GREAT bulbs that are some of the best on the market.
We loved the these lights! We also had exchange to exchange some bulbs and customer service was excellent.
bulbs are great!
I’m not sure how to capture how dissatisfied I’ve been with the majority of LED lighting available in the US. Most LEDs flicker and and spectrum is poor. Unfortunately I’m one of those who can see flicker others can’t and, even when I can’t see flicker I can sense it with poor quality lamps. For me it can trigger migraine auras and nauseated feelings—no joke. So far with these lamps, no problems, and these aren’t even the Zero flicker bulbs. The 3000k light is pleasing yet crisp and is even adequate for task lighting. I have one mounted in a can above my basement workbench sandwiched between two incandescents and I haven’t sensed any issues. I plan to outfit the entire basement, about a dozen or more cans, then we’ll really see how they perform. These start fast, not dim at first like a CFL. The color temp is quite nice. Warm enough, limited blue, good balance. I read a review complaining about the yellow, not a problem for my indoor living application. I look forward to testing a few of the commercial products soon for medical building use. If you are picky like me, this may be a good choice. Be patient. Shipping took longer than I expected and I’m hoping the wait continues to be worth it. I’m happy I discovered Waveform.
I wanted high CRI bulbs to replace my contractor provided LED bulbs so I got these. While unscrewing the old bulbs I got cut multiple times from rough edges. The quality of these Waveform bulbs could be immediately felt. It was heavier and no sharp / rough edges. Also the light beam cast by these Waveform bulbs are much wider than the old bulbs. You could see a shadow around the old ones but the Waveforms are uniformly lit.
