Avian full spectrum bulb

Love these lights and so do my parrots. They are much more lively and their coloring is beautiful.

Changing to LED

I work at a wildlife facility which has many different avian species year round. I was excited to find this WAVELENGTH LED full spectrum option! We are overwintering a couple of shorebirds and trying out this bulb. So far it is meeting our expectations in creating a “beach”. Hoping the tube full spectrums will be available soon. Holding back on a five star rating until we have used it a few months longer.

Avian bulbs are artificial sunlight

Good illumination in 30+ year-old recessed ceiling cans. Color-rendering is also superior to previous LEDs.

cool light

The birds like it, sit right underneath. Since it is “theSun” I expected I would have to wear sunglasses. Not so about the same brightness as bar light I had before. I expect a brighting of their feathers etc. They are “underlight” about five hours during the day and out of the cage the rest of the day. so may make a difference. We will see.
