The birds like it, sit right underneath. Since it is “theSun” I expected I would have to wear sunglasses. Not so about the same brightness as bar light I had before. I expect a brighting of their feathers etc. They are “underlight” about five hours during the day and out of the cage the rest of the day. so may make a difference. We will see.

I bought two of these bulbs: one to put in the huge arc lamp that arcs over the top of my CAG's "house" and another to put in the ceiling can in the other room (he gets around, lol). Very happy so far. The quality and color of the light is nice and Stormy Patriot Steve (the CAG) seems as happy as he can be. (He happens to be sitting in the front door at the moment, but I moved the arc lamp over for the photo.)

Bought 3 avian full spectrum lights about 1.5 years ago, with 3 year warranty, burning 12 hours a day. One of them went out recently and Waveform responded immediately to my email, shipping a replacement. Birds are happy, I'm happy!

Fantastic product! Birds are in excellent health due to the fiull spectrum light creating conditions for them to correctly process all the expensive vitamins/ supplements they receive. Also the quality of this light is 100% as promised in the ad - it lasts for me but I am also careful and don't manhandle it. I wouldn't be a resposible bird keeper without this product! This bulb receives my highest recommendation.
