Bought for my lifelong artist mom who would constantly take her art outside to check colors and then come back in and try and match the best she could by memory. Now she has true outdoor light inside on demand and she is thrilled with the color reproduction.
I've tried my different types of light bulbs to get my canvas' and studio to light so I could paint day or night..these are it..they work so much better than anything I have tried. I am very satisfied with these.
I'm a painter and need reliable, true light in my studio. These are the best bulbs I've found and makes it easy to keep track of color.
These lightbulbs provide clean, bright light that allow me to see true colors during oil painting.
I work in color correction and use these bulbs for color critical applications as a bias light. great lights. r9 values are important to me especially.
Great lights and excellent shipping. They arrived earlier than I had expected.
The light bulb works great, just what I expected, no complaints about it. The company's shipping methods need improvement. I've never seen anyone ship a light bulb simply by putting it inside a padded envelope. The box had collapsed and opened on both ends, and the plastic lid on the light bulb had popped off. Luckily it didn't break, but it was very unpleasant to get the product in such a poor condition.
I’ve been struggling with light in my studio for years. My instructor did a tutorial on lighting and Waveform had exactly what she described! This light has been fantastic and has made a huge difference in my studio! Highly recommend!
The NorthLux™ 95 CRI 6500K BR30 LED Bulb is an absolutely FANTASTIC piece of kit!
The color temperature is what you might expect to see from natural light streaming in from a north-facing window on a sunny afternoon -- no longer do artists need to put away their canvas & pigments when the sunset is looming near; just screw in one or more of these babies, direct (aim) them toward your canvas, and paint like it's afternoon!
One of the best things about this LED bulb is that it's dimmable on a standard DIAC dimmer -- this is the type of dimmer (usually seen with either a knob that you spin or a slider that moves vertically) most frequently found in homes, offices, art studios, and the like.
Even when set to minimum intensity, no perceptible flickering was evident.
I very recently reviewed this lamp on my website and gave it a rating of seven stars (on a zero-to-five ratings system)!
